About Us
Welcome to Makita Aussies!
We have been showing and breeding Aussies for almost 23 years,
and are very active in the competitive sport of showing dogs. We also
work our dogs at ASCA herding trials, do some obedience, and have recently leaped into
the agility scene.
We have had several years of Top Ten dogs in the ASCA Merit Award Program and also
a few in the ASCA/AKC Top Ten for agility.
We currently live with five Aussies. Fashion who is now spayed and retired;
Indy who was ranked # 1 in the Altered Merit Award Program (2003-2004); Gabbie, who is our
first Working Trial Champion;
Nellie, who is in training with Dawna Simms for her open and advanced stock titles;
and Stella, our new up and coming conformation dog.
I am an ASCA Senior Breeder Judge, give handling lessons, and do some Aussie
grooming on the side. My husband Scott, is a pilot for US Airways, and
enjoys fishing and Nebraska Cornhusker Football games. My daughter,
Lauren will be starting college in January, and enjoys deer and elk hunting,
and helps me with her new brother and sister, Nikita and Katy!
