About Us
Welcome to Makita Aussies!
We have been showing and breeding Aussies for almost 25 years,
and are very active in the competitive sport of showing dogs. We also
work our dogs at ASCA herding trials, do some obedience, and have recently leaped into
the agility scene.
We have had several years of Top Ten dogs in the ASCA Merit Award Program and also
a few in the ASCA/AKC Top Ten for agility.
We currently live with four Aussies and two Whippets. Gabbie, who is our first
Working Trial Champion; Nellie, who is a Working Trial Champion;
and Ch. Trina and Tula our new up and coming conformation dogs, and of course, Dharma
and Wilma the Whippets.
I am an ASCA Senior Breeder Judge, give handling lessons, and do some Aussie
grooming on the side. My husband Scott, is a pilot for US Airways, and
enjoys fishing and Nebraska Cornhusker Football games. My daughter,
Lauren is in her second year of college and enjoys deer and elk hunting,
and of course the two children we adopted two years ago from
Russia, Nikita and Katy!
